What a Wonderful Clash of the PACK! 🐺

What an incredible Saturday morning celebrating our Wolves! Our Clash of the PACK was filled with school spirit, teamwork, and so many moments that reminded us what makes the ASA community special

🏈 Congratulations to our Fontana football team for keeping the trophy right here in Fontana!

🏐 Our volleyball team had an excellent showing, and congratulations to our Chino Wolves for taking home the volleyball trophy!

🥁 Our drumline didn’t miss a beat, and our cheerleaders brought the spirit and energy! The PACK moms and dads did an amazing job creating a fantastic snack bar, and a huge shout-out to our ASA staff who made the event possible—from our coaches, advisors, and referees to our DJ and check-in team.

This is what it takes to make moments matter! It takes a community of people willing to show up, pitch in, and create meaningful experiences for our students. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making
Saturday such a memorable morning for our Wolves!

Families, enjoy your three-day weekend! There is no school on Monday. Our teachers will be collaborating with our Chino campus throughout the day as we continue working together to ensure our Wolves receive high-quality instruction and meaningful learning experiences.

And speaking of making moments matter, we hope to see you Wednesday evening for Literacy Family Fun Night! Bring the kids and join our teachers for a fun-filled evening of hands-on literacy games as we explore how children learn to read by unlocking the code. You’ll also discover simple ways to support your reader at home while having fun together!

📚 Wednesday, October 21 | 4:00–5:00 PM | Gym

We look forward to learning and having fun with our Wolf Pack. Have a wonderful long weekend, ASA community!

Partnering for Student Success: Welcome to Thrive at Home!

At Allegiance STEAM Academy, we know that when home and school align, our students thrive. We are excited to continue our Thrive at Home series—a year-long campaign offering quick, research-backed strategies to help families support learning, focus, and character at home.

We invite you to visit our main series hub at asathrive.org/thriveathome to discover practical tools for every stage of the school year.

This October, our schoolwide focus is on building a 20-Minute Daily Reading Ritual. Reading just 20 minutes a day expands vocabulary, strengthens comprehension, and builds critical thinking across every subject.

🐺 Wolf Skill of the Week: Being Assertive 🌟

Being assertive means speaking up for yourself and others in a calm, clear, and respectful way. It means standing up for your needs and feelings without being mean or letting others treat you unfairly.
Being assertive helps us build confidence, solve problems peacefully, and create a safer, more respectful environment for everyone. 💚

💬 Character Skill Reflections:
  • How does being assertive help make our classroom or playground a safer and fairer environment for everyone?
  • What is a situation where you would need to be assertive?
If you have any questions or would like counseling support for your child, you can reach Mr. Thornhill at (909) 258-9937 or via email at aodhan.thornhill@asathrive.org

CAMPUS & FACILITIES UPDATE

We know our families and Wolves are eager for updates on our campus environment. We want to provide our families with an update on our physical campus—both the direct improvements our team has implemented and the status of district-managed projects.

School-Led Improvements
To ensure our students have a secure and comfortable learning environment, our ASA Fontana team has directly initiated and completed several recent upgrades:
  • Upgraded Security Surveillance: A comprehensive security camera system is currently being installed across campus to enhance overall safety and monitoring.
  • Filtered Water Hydration Station: A new filtered water refill station has been installed, giving students easy access to clean drinking water throughout the day.
  • Targeted Climate Control: In response to an outage in one of our classroom AC units, FUSD installed a mobile air conditioning unit to keep the space comfortable until the primary unit's full replacement.

District-Managed Property & Playground Status

Because ASA Fontana leases our campus facility, capital improvements and structural property developments are managed through Fontana Unified School District (FUSD).
While the initial playground installation phase has been completed on the campus, the space requires a few remaining finishing items and final safety inspections before it can be officially opened for regular student use.
  • Prioritizing Student Safety: Ensuring the space fully meets all required safety and operational standards is top priority. The playground area will open once final clearance steps are complete by FUSD.
  • Ongoing Coordination: Our administration remains in regular communication with district staff to receive updates on the project schedule, final inspections, and next steps for completion.

We share our families' enthusiasm for a fully completed campus and appreciate your patience while these final property details are finalized. We will continue to share updates as soon as confirmed timelines are provided by the district.
