🐾 Building Memories & Finishing Strong at ASA šŸ’›

Dear ASA Families,

As we head into these final weeks of the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the traditions, memories, and strong sense of community that make ASA such a special place.

First, thank you for an incredible Staff Appreciation Week. Our entire staff felt so loved and supported by this amazing community. Your thoughtful notes, treats, kind words, and generosity meant so much to all of us. A very special thank you to our PACK for the wonderful luncheon today — it was such a thoughtful way to celebrate our team, and we are so grateful for all you do to support our school.

Today also brought one of our favorite growing ASA traditions — the 8th Grade vs. Staff Kickball Game! What started just last year is quickly becoming a special ASA tradition and something students look forward to all year long. The energy, excitement, and school spirit on campus were incredible to witness.
And of course… congratulations to our 8th graders for defeating the staff! They played with heart, showed great teamwork, and definitely earned those bragging rights for the year.

We are proud of the sportsmanship and enthusiasm shown by everyone involved.
Moments like these build lasting memories for our students and remind us that some of the most meaningful parts of school are the traditions we create together.

We also want to remind families that this Thursday is a minimum day and our STEAM Live Night from 3:00–6:00 PM! This is a wonderful opportunity for families to join their students for hands-on learning experiences and exciting enrichment activities. We look forward to seeing our campus filled with curiosity, creativity, and family engagement. Please be sure to sign up for a time slot with your child’s teacher. As a reminder, Boys and Girls Club as well as TK aftercare WILL NOT be in session due to us utilizing the entire campus for STEAM LIve!

As exciting as this time of year is, it is also incredibly important that we stay focused and keep strong routines in place. Teaching and learning will continue every single day through the very last day of school, and these final weeks are an important time for growth, reflection, and finishing the year with pride.

We ask for your partnership in helping our wolves finish strong by ensuring they:

🐺 Arrive at school on time every day
🐺 Complete all assignments and classwork
🐺 Follow the school dress code
🐺 Continue demonstrating our Wolves Ways:

• Howl with your friends
• Be a leader
• Trust your instincts
• Keep your den clean
• Stay on track

Consistency and structure help our students succeed, and together we can ensure every wolf crosses the finish line strong.

And finally, as we head into the weekend, we want to wish all of our incredible mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and guardians a very Happy Mother’s Day. Thank you for the love, support, encouragement, and care you pour into our wolves each and every day.

After all, behind every strong wolf is an amazing PACK. šŸ¾šŸ’›

Fontana Facilities Update

We know many of our Fontana families have been asking about the installation of the play structure and shade structure, and we are excited to share a positive update.
Per our Facilities Use Agreement with the Fontana Unified School District, these projects are the responsibility of the district. We are happy to share that the plans have now been approved by the Division of the State Architect (DSA).

This approval is an important step forward, and we are currently awaiting confirmation from the district and their architect regarding the next steps and timeline for installation.
We appreciate your patience and continued support as we work with FUSD to bring these exciting improvements to our campus. We look forward to seeing these new additions for our Wolves soon!

Counseling ConnectionšŸŽ

This Week’s Social Emotional Learning(SEL) Skill:Ā Summer Safety ā˜€ļøšŸŒ“

Summer safety is important, especially since summer is around the corner! Summer is a time to have fun, relax, and enjoy new adventures, but it is also important to stay safe. Whether you are riding your bike, swimming, spending time in the sun, or using technology during the break, making safe choices helps protect yourself and others.
Let’s learn ways to take care of our bodies, minds, and each other this summer! šŸ•¶ļøšŸ’š

šŸ’¬ Character Skill Reflections:
  • What is one way you can stay safe during the summer when you are outside?
  • Why is it important to think before you act when you’re having fun?
  • How can you take care of your body and mind during the summer?

If you have any questions or would like counseling support for your child, you can reach Mr. Thornhill at (909) 258-9937 or via email at aodhan.thornhill@asathrive.org
