🐾 Back, Ready, and All In!

It was truly wonderful welcoming our wolves back from Spring Break! The smiles, energy, and smooth return to routines have been felt across campus—thank you for helping us start strong again.

Over the next three weeks, our wolves in grades 3–8 will begin the California State Assessments. We are encouraging all students to BE Wolf-Ready for CAASPP—coming in each day with a focused, confident, and test-ready mindset.

Our younger wolves may not be testing, but they play an important role too! We encourage them to support their buddies by being mindful of noise levels, minimizing interruptions, and cheering on our testing students with kindness and encouragement.

Attendance is especially important during this time. Being on time and present each day truly makes a difference in helping our wolves feel prepared and successful.

We are also excited to share that we are getting closer to our goal of 100% LCAP participation—we are currently at 85%! If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to complete the LCAP survey below. Classrooms that reach a 90% return rate will earn a Glow Party this Friday!

🎉 Shoutout to TK, Kinder, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade for already meeting that goal—way to go!
To our amazing parent volunteers—if you have supported in ANY capacity this year, we hope you can join us for our Parent Volunteer Brunch. This celebration is just for you as a small token of our appreciation for all you do for our school community.

We appreciate your support in helping us keep our arrival and dismissal safe and smooth for all students. As a reminder, U-turns are not permitted in front of the school at any time. Fontana School Police Department will be on site during drop-off and pick-up this week and may issue citations for illegal U-turns.

Count Me In! I’m looking forward to the Ontario Reign Game this Friday, sponsored by PACK, and hope to see you there! It’s not too late to grab your tickets—be sure to share the link with family and friends.

Every ticket makes a difference! PACK earns money from ticket sales, and at the Chuck-a-Puck booth, ALL proceeds go directly back to our school—including purchases made by anyone at the game, even those outside of ASA!

This is a playoff game, and tickets are limited, so be sure to secure yours today!
I’ll be there at the booth—count me in—so come by and say hi! 🐾🏒💛

Thank you for your continued partnership and support—together we help our wolves thrive! 🐾💛

Fontana Facilities Update

We know many of our Fontana families have been asking about the installation of the play structure and shade structure, and we are excited to share a positive update.
Per our Facilities Use Agreement with the Fontana Unified School District, these projects are the responsibility of the district. We are happy to share that the plans have now been approved by the Division of the State Architect (DSA).

This approval is an important step forward, and we are currently awaiting confirmation from the district and their architect regarding the next steps and timeline for installation.
We appreciate your patience and continued support as we work with FUSD to bring these exciting improvements to our campus. We look forward to seeing these new additions for our Wolves soon!

Counseling Connection🍎

This Week’s Social Emotional Learning(SEL) Skill: Decisions🌟

Decision-making is something we do every day! Some decisions are small, like what we eat for breakfast, and some decisions are big — like how we choose to treat others.

Learning how to make good decisions helps us feel confident, safe, and responsible. Taking time to think about our choices can help us make decisions that are positive and respectful. 💭💚

💬 Character Skill Reflections:
  • What are some small decisions you make every day?
  • How can you tell that someone has made a good decision?
  • What are some big decisions that you have made before?

If you have any questions or would like counseling support for your child, you can reach Mr. Thornhill at (909) 258-9937 or via email at aodhan.thornhill@asathrive.org
