🐺 ASA Update: Celebrations, Clover Hunts & Your LCAP Voice Matters

ASA Families,

What a wonderful week we had together at ASA! From the excitement of our clover hunts around campus, to celebrating our wolves at the Success Awards Assembly, and ending the week with an amazing Howl Fest—it was truly a special time for our school community. Thank you for helping make these moments so meaningful for our students.

Our wolves are still on the hunt! Students need to find two more clovers around campus on Monday, and they are so close to earning their Free Dress Day on Tuesday, March 17th. The excitement has been building all week, and we love seeing their teamwork and enthusiasm.
Students are also counting on YOU to help their grade level earn a Glow Party! There is still time to complete the 2026 LCAP Survey, and every response helps.

Your feedback directly shapes our academic priorities, student supports, and future planning at ASA.
Please take a few minutes this evening to CLICK HERE and submit your responses.
Every voice matters, and we truly value your partnership.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many volunteers who helped make Howl Fest such a success. It was a night of celebration, connection, and fun for our ASA community, and we could not have done it without your time, energy, and support.

Together, we continue to make ASA a place where our wolves can thrive. 🐾

With gratitude,
Mrs Valenta

Fontana Facilities Update

We know many of our Fontana families have been asking about the installation of the play structure and shade structure, and we are excited to share a positive update.
Per our Facilities Use Agreement with the Fontana Unified School District, these projects are the responsibility of the district. We are happy to share that the plans have now been approved by the Division of the State Architect (DSA).

This approval is an important step forward, and we are currently awaiting confirmation from the district and their architect regarding the next steps and timeline for installation.
We appreciate your patience and continued support as we work with FUSD to bring these exciting improvements to our campus. We look forward to seeing these new additions for our Wolves soon!

Counseling Connection🍎

This Week’s Social Emotional Learning(SEL) Skill: Trustworthiness 🌟

Being trustworthy means others can count on you to be honest, responsible, and do the right thing. It’s about keeping your promises, telling the truth, and following through on what you say you will do.

Being trustworthy also means doing the right thing even when no one is watching and taking responsibility for your actions. When people trust each other, it helps build strong and positive relationships. 💚

💬 Character Skill Reflections:
  • What makes a friend trustworthy?
  • Why is it important to build trust with people?
  • Can you think of a time when it was difficult to tell the truth?
  • How can you tell the truth even when it is hard?

If you have any questions or would like counseling support for your child, you can reach Mr. Thornhill at (909) 258-9937 or via email at aodhan.thornhill@asathrive.org

🌟 Trustworthiness at Home (TK–8th Grade) 🌟

Here are ways families can practice trustworthiness at home:

1️⃣ Keep Your Promises
Encourage children to follow through on small commitments like finishing homework, feeding a pet, or helping with chores.

2️⃣ Honesty Check-In
Create a safe space for children to tell the truth, even if they made a mistake. Praise honesty and talk about how to fix the problem.

3️⃣ Responsibility Jobs
Give your child a regular job at home (setting the table, organizing their backpack) to practice being dependable.

4️⃣ Apologize & Make It Right
If a mistake happens, guide children to apologize and think of ways to make things better.

5️⃣ Family Trust Talks
Discuss what trust means and share examples of how family members show trust every day.

Practicing trustworthiness at home helps our Wolves build strong character, responsibility, and respect. 🐺⭐
