🐺 Short Week Reminder & Staff Professional Learning Days

Hello ASA Families,

Just a friendly reminder that there is no school for students on Thursday and Friday next week as our staff will be engaged in professional learning.

Students will attend school Monday through Wednesday only. Since Wednesday is the students’ Friday, they are welcome to wear Friday attire (jeans, spirit shirts, or college shirts). 👖🎓🐾

We are so grateful for your support of our incredible staff and amazing teachers as they use Thursday and Friday to collaborate, plan, and sharpen their practices to make learning even stronger for our students. We are especially excited to welcome our Chino teachers on Friday as we learn together and continue growing as a team. 💚🤝

Thank you for being such an incredible partner in your child’s education — together, we are helping every Wolf succeed! 🐾

With gratitude,
Mrs Valenta

Fontana Facilities Update

We know many of our Fontana families have been asking about the installation of the play structure and shade structure. Per our Facilities Use Agreement with the Fontana Unified School District, these projects are the responsibility of the district.

The latest update from FUSD indicates that the plans are still with civil engineers and must reach 80% completion before being submitted to the Division of the State Architect (DSA) for approval. The district is awaiting confirmation from their architect on next steps.

We will continue to share updates as soon as we receive them. Thank you for your patience as we work with FUSD to ensure these much-anticipated improvements move forward for our Wolves.

Counseling Connection🍎

🧠 This Week’s Social Emotional Learning(SEL) Skill: Physical Activity & the Brain 🌟

Physical activity doesn’t just make your body stronger — it helps your brain too! Exercise helps improve memory, focus, and mood regulation. It can help you feel happier, calmer, and more ready to learn.
Moving your body is like giving your brain a little power boost! ⚡🧠

💬 Character Skill Reflections:
  • How do you feel after you have been active, like running, dancing, or playing?
  • Why do you think moving your body helps your brain?
  • What is a physical activity you can do to help you grow stronger, both physically and mentally?

If you have any questions or would like counseling support for your child, you can reach Mr. Thornhill at (909) 258-9937 or via email at aodhan.thornhill@asathrive.org
