If you would like to participate please complete the attached form and fill out the permission slip we will be sending out when we come back from Fall Break. If your student is between Tk-2nd please be prepared to accompany them and join the fun.

Spaces are limited, so please ensure that the permission slip is returned promptly to secure their spot. The deadline is Tuesday, Dec 9th and will contact parents on Dec 10th with additional details.

Parade Details:
🗓 Date: Saturday, December 13th
Arrival Time: 9:15 AM
Approx. End Time: 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM

What should my student wear to participate in the parade?
Since the theme is " I believe in Magic" We are going with ASA Spirit wear
School-appropriate bottoms (Black or beige pants)
Comfortable walking shoes
Holiday hat 🎩 (for a festive touch!) and accessories

🎶 Students will be walking and singing:
  • Jingle Bells (in Mandarin)
  • Our ASA Fight Song
  • Feliz Navidad

Additionally, once permission slips are returned, we will hold a drawing to select students who will have the exciting opportunity to ride on the flatbed during the parade!
Thank you for supporting this fun event, and we can’t wait to see our ASA Wolves spreading holiday cheer!

Fontana Facilities Update

We know many of our Fontana families have been asking about the installation of the play structure and shade structure. Per our Facilities Use Agreement with the Fontana Unified School District, these projects are the responsibility of the district.

The latest update from FUSD indicates that the plans are still with civil engineers and must reach 80% completion before being submitted to the Division of the State Architect (DSA) for approval. The district is awaiting confirmation from their architect on next steps.

We will continue to share updates as soon as we receive them. Thank you for your patience as we work with FUSD to ensure these much-anticipated improvements move forward for our Wolves.

Counseling Connection🍎

🧠 This Week’s Social Emotional Learning(SEL) Skill: Confidence 🌟

Confidence means believing in yourself and knowing that you can try your best, even when something feels new or challenging. It’s the courage to speak up, ask questions, and keep going after mistakes.
Being confident doesn’t mean being perfect — it means trusting your abilities, learning from your errors, and being proud of your efforts. Confidence grows when we practice, try new things, and remind ourselves that we are capable and worthy. 💛

💬 Character Skill Reflections:
  • What is something new or challenging you tried recently, and how did you feel after giving it your best effort?
  • How do you talk to yourself when you make a mistake — do your words help you feel confident or discourage you?
  • What is one small step you can take this week to build your confidence in something you want to get better at?

If you have any questions or would like counseling support for your child, you can reach Mr. Thornhill at (909) 258-9937 or via email at aodhan.thornhill@asathrive.org

🚸 Permission to Walk To/From School & Release of Liability

Dear Parents/Guardians,

If your student plans to walk home after school, we kindly ask that you complete the Permission to Walk To/From School & Release of Liability Form linked here. As a reminder students are to walk off campus and to not wait in front of the school to be picked up in the car line.

NO Fast Food and Lunch Drop-Off Procedures

Fast food is not permitted at school as it goes against our wellness program. We kindly ask that you do your best not to send your student to school with fast food.

If your student forgets their lunch, please do not bring fast food to school, as we will not accept it in order to maintain compliance with our wellness policy. Instead, your student will have the option to enjoy a free, healthy school lunch.

If you need to drop off a lunchbox for your student, please note that we aim to minimize classroom disruptions. To help with this, please:
  • Clearly label your student’s name on the lunchbox.
  • Encourage your student to pick up their lunchbox during recess or on their way to the lunchroom.
