🐾 Count Me In for Gratitude and Growth! 🇺🇸

What an incredible week, Wolves! Our Veterans Day assemblies were such a beautiful reminder of the power of unity, respect, and gratitude.

Thank you to all our families who joined us as we honored our Veterans — we are so proud of our students for showing such heart and appreciation. 💙

As we head into a well-deserved 4-day weekend, we hope you take time to rest, recharge, and reflect on the meaning of this important holiday.

A few reminders as we look ahead:
📘 Report Cards will go home on Friday — a great opportunity to celebrate growth and set goals together for the next trimester.
🎓 Middle School Families: On Thursday at 8:15am, You’re invited to a special presentation from E High, a local charter high school focused on entrepreneurship and innovation. Many of our promoted 8th-grade Wolves have gone on to attend, and this is a wonderful chance to learn more about what they offer.

If you don’t have a middle school student but are curious about the program, you’re welcome to join us too!

Enjoy your 4-day weekend, and remember — every time we show up for one another, we’re saying “Count Me In!”

With appreciation,
Mrs Valenta

Fontana Facilities Update

We know many of our Fontana families have been asking about the installation of the play structure and shade structure. Per our Facilities Use Agreement with the Fontana Unified School District, these projects are the responsibility of the district.

The latest update from FUSD indicates that the plans are still with civil engineers and must reach 80% completion before being submitted to the Division of the State Architect (DSA) for approval. The district is awaiting confirmation from their architect on next steps.

We will continue to share updates as soon as we receive them. Thank you for your patience as we work with FUSD to ensure these much-anticipated improvements move forward for our Wolves.

Counseling Connection🍎

🧠 This Week’s Social Emotional Learning(SEL) Skill: Friendship 🌟

Friendship means choosing to care about someone and treating them with kindness, respect, and trust. Friends listen to each other, help one another, and have fun together. Good friends make us feel safe, valued, and accepted for who we are.

Friendship also means working through problems, apologizing when we make mistakes, and trying to understand each other's feelings. Being a good friend is not just about who we spend time with — it’s about how we choose to treat others, every day. 💚

💬 Character Skill Reflections:
  • How do I show kindness and respect to my friends even when I’m feeling frustrated or upset?
  • What is one way I can make someone feel included or valued as a friend this week?

If you have any questions or would like counseling support for your child, you can reach Mr. Thornhill at (909) 258-9937 or via email at aodhan.thornhill@asathrive.org
